YouTube Playlist with Dave Thomas playing Yann Tiersen. Dave Thomas plays compositions by Yann Tiersen very well. Yann is known for composing the music for Amelie. His compositions are minimalist: simple and soothing. Amelie is a very nice movie: the story of a shy waitress who decides to sprinkle happiness into the lives of people around her while remaining incognito.

Went through the entire list of posts. Was pretty interesting to see that you had a big gap of almost 3 years between your earlier posts, which are on topics so different than the ones posted recently.
You indeed restarted this thread of blogs this year on a great “note”. These compositions by Yann Tiersen certainly elevate the audience. They say that heart muscles synchronize to the beat of music, as does breathing. Classical music rhythms mimic the average resting heart and so listening to soothing sounds actually help to slow fast-beating hearts.
Thoroughly enjoyed playing those clips!
