There are two non-denominational meditation resources I have come into contact with:

1) http://meditation.meetup.com/200/ (which is a meetup group that meets Monday evenings near Willow Glenn)

2) http://www.quantumsourcehealing.com/ (which is a guided meditation group held in Palo Alto)

It might also be pertinent to mention Actualism (http://www.actualfreedom.com.au) to those considering spirituality as a worthwhile process, or to those who are sick and tired of the duplicity and shenanigans of the various groups and practices.

Great job, Gurmeet. One thing I yearn to learn more is links to any user communities on these various organizations and meditations “shops”. So that I can get some scoop on their perceived usefulness and prioritize my engagement etc..

Any yahoo (or google) groups which are really effective, any facebook groups or associations etc..

May be I can find pointers to such places once i start surfing around but then I am lazy, not good at surfing, etc..

Hi Prashant! All these organizations also offer “group sittings” on a weekly basis to those who wish to practice meditation. At such sittings, you can typicall do whatever meditation you are familiar with. These are good opportunities to meet other serene and peaceful people, and get associated with individuals involved in charity work or “giving” in general.
