Today, I chanced upon Tabla performances of Rohan Singh Bhogal (b. 1990), a Canadian child prodigy. I was stunned by his technique and his virtuosity — it sounded so much like Ustad Zakir Hussain! Indeed, he’s been learning from him since the age of eight. Only a few of his recordings are available online:
