hi i am from binkar gharana miyna bande ali khansahib from last week i am in great shock since that this guy had passed away this is a lose of whole world especialy for pakiatan everybody coping ustad tari sahab worldwide ustad sajjad ali was very close to him i have heard alot of tabala in india like allh wala latif delhi,, inam bhai,, rfikuddin sabari,,akram,,nafis who lives in london this nafis is noway near to ustad sajjad ali do not be offended it is my thoughts if this guy was in india he would in list what name i mantion above i only found about this 7/10/2009 i will duwa for him in namaz great lose for everyone please tell me about this guy family how they are managing day to day life

i tend to agree with you, my solution is incorrect, when mapping the combinations of 2 from 4 objects i missed that by tossing we might generate also pair as (1st object, 1st object), whereas ive stated incorrectly “we flip the coin 4 times, getting a combination which is already mapped to a certain cake”

Ive discovered the mistake yesterday, but this could be another interesting problem: could we choose the cookie with a definite number of tosses?

I agree – thats what i have considered in the arrangement (there will be two L coins at the center)

So, there will be atleast one case when the first player ends up losing because of arrangement of coins and rules of game.

Hi,

Lets assume a simpler case, that we have only two denominations High (H) and Low (L) and the pattern is like

LHLHLH …. HLLH…. HLHLHL (Symmetric series) and the total of all the odd & even coins are same…

Now the first person will always have to pick L coin (coz give the option – second will always pick H coin)

Now following this argument – Simran may end up getting lesser total value of coins than Talveen

Please clarify

Here goes another solution, (with two weighs only):

1) place one ball of each color on each side (so that every side of the scale has a red, a green, and a yellow ball).

Obviously, one side will be heavier than the other (because one side has two heavy balls, and a light ball – its [++-] vs [--+])

2) Take two balls from the “heavy group”, and weigh them one against the other.

- If they weigh the same, then both of them are heavy, and the third ball is light.
- If one of the sides is heavier, then we found the light ball, and we know who the two heavy balls are.

Better idea is to just close the coin in a fist behind your back and make someone guess which hand. Easily reduced to the first case :)

creo que el tipo del video deberìa hacer un poco más lenta la figura y mostrarla a la camara. No està claro como unir cada pieza para llegar al resultado .
